Ms. Siu is a paralegal in the Tax Department at Carlsmith Ball , LLP and specializes in estate planning, trust administration and probate. Before returning home to Hawaii, Ms. Siu spent much of her legal career in Los Angeles. She has served on the Hawaii Paralegal Association Board of Directors as Secretary (2007), Treasurer (2008, 2009), Vice President (2008, 2009), and President (2010, 2011).

Ms. Mason has been a paralegal for over 25 years and is currently a freelance paralegal. Her areas of practice are Intellectual Property and Litigation. Ms. Mason has been a member of the Illinois Paralegal Association (IPA) since 1982, where she served on the Board of Directors of IPA for 10 years. Ms. Mason was named 2003 Paralegal of the Year by the national magazine Legal Assistant Today, and received the 2003 Outstanding Local Leader Award from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA).

Ronell Badua is with the City and County of Honolulu, Department of the Corporation Counsel where he is the Rapid Transit Paralegal. Ronell was previously employed at Carlsmith Ball, LLP in the Estate Planning and Litigation Sections. He has previously served as Director of Professional Development and has been Director of Publications, Secretary and NFPA representative for two consecutive years. He is also a Notary Public. His interest during his free time include jogging and hiking with friends.

Mr. Johnson has been a paralegal in Hawaii since 1987. He has served as Director of the Hawaii Paralegal Association's Newsletter, Membership, and Standards Committees, and as Chair of its Ad Hoc Regulation Committee and Ad Hoc Website Committee. Mr. Johnson has been a regular pro bono volunteer with the Hawaii State Bar Association's Law Week and its Legal Line program, and has served on the Bar's Task Forces on Access to Justice and Paralegal Certification, and its Consumer Protection Committee.

She administrates the 1) Bar’s voluntary fee dispute program 2) the Lawyer Referral & Information Service as well as for the past 6 years has administrated the Basic Legal Training Program for Legal Support Staff and assists in developing CLE programs for HSBA’s CLE dept.

Hawaii Paralegal Association Committees

JOB BANK serves as a liaison between prospective employers and HPA members, and tracks and maintains market trends affecting the profession.
MEMBERSHIP publishes the annual membership directory, processes applications and renewals, maintains a membership mailing list and recruits new members
NFPA assists the primary and secondary representatives in disseminating NFPA news to HPA members and working on projects of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.
PRO BONO is responsible for promoting member participation in pro bono activities and fund raising projects.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT arranges educational seminars and general membership meetings and facilitates practice groups.
PUBLICATIONS is responsible for publishing the organization's quarterly newsletter and website.  The Hawaii Paralegal Reporter is distributed to HPA members and contains news of HPA activities, trends in the paralegal profession and educational resource material.
PUBLIC RELATIONS is responsible for promotional material designed to attract public interest or recognition for HPA and assists as a liaison with the media.
STANDARDS researches and proposes standards and guidelines for HPA and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding affairs of the association.
